If you spend all your time on social media (and who doesn’t?), if you’re the kind of person who says everything in hashtags (some do), or if you’re someone who hasn’t read a book in a while (what’s a book?), then allow this advertisement to give you a gentle reminder to actually read something a little more worthwhile.
When Romanian publisher Black Button Books hired ad agency Friends\TBWA to create a campaign meant to get people to read real books, the series included the advertisements above and below.
In a statement to Little Black Book Online, the agency and Black Button Books said that Romania has one of the lowest reading rates. “The campaign is based on the insight that people don’t realise how much they actually read online every day, and they don’t realise how much of it is worthless.”
Like that big book of faces, for instance.
