Has a passenger airplane been towed by a passenger car before? Automobile company Tesla and Qantas Airlines claim this was the first time.
One of Tesla’s electric SUVs towed a 287,000-pound Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft nearly 1,000 feet on a runway at the Melbourne Airport in Australia, according to CNN.
Qantas posted the video above, and also announced in a press release that not only did they make history, but they also set a Guinness world record.
