The release of Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero has been postponed to June 1, the makers announced on Twitter on Wednesday. A new poster of the film was also released. The vigilante drama starring Harshvardhan Kapoor was initially scheduled to hit the theatres on May 25.
Bhavesh Joshi Superhero was set to clash with John Abraham-starrer Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran.
June 1 is also release date Shashanka Ghosh’s Veere Di Wedding, which stars Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. Harshvardhan Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor are siblings.
Produced by Phantom Films and Eros International, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero narrates the story of college student Rana (Harshvardhan Kapoor) who doubles up as a vigilante to fight against Mumbai’s civic problems and corruption. He vows revenge after one of his closest friends is killed by a politician. The cast of the film includes Nishikant Kamat, Priyanshu Painyuli, Ashish Verma and Shreiyah Sabharwal.
