Rule number one of safaris – never ever get out of your vehicle. And if you do, get ready to run super fast, maybe even faster than a cheetah.
While visiting the Beekse Bergen Safari Park in the Netherlands, a group of French tourists got out of their vehicle to stroll around. Which in hindsight was a very bad idea, because before they knew it they were surrounded by aggressive cheetahs. The family, which included a small child, can be seen in the video above barely escaping the animals.
The video was taken by another visitor to the park who caught the heart-stopping incident. Luckily for the tourists – and the animals – the cheetahs didn’t seem to mean them real harm and they managed to make it back to their cars without a scratch.
