The trailer of Kamaleshwar Mukherjee’s Bengali film Goodnight City offers a glimpse into the mind of a psychopath and the equally disturbed lives of the people who are on the lookout for him.
Goodnight City is a psychological thriller narrating the story of an unstable criminal (Ritwick Chakraborty) and the efforts of the people who are trying to apprehend him. The trailer begins with a Albert Camus quote that reflects the emotional restlessness in the trailer. The blurb accompanying the trailer describes the plot: “Darkness of the night takes over the lives of three people – a killer, a policeman and a psychiatrist when a crime is committed.”
The cast includes Rituparna Sengupta, Saswata Chatterjee, Sudip Mukherjee, Payal Sarkar, Arunima Ghosh and Sourav Das. Goodnight City will be released on May 25.
