Mumbai-headquartered production company Azure Entertainment has partnered with Lionsgate India and Globalgate to remake the 2013 Mexican comedy Instructions Not Included and South Korean action thriller The Terror Live for Indian audiences

Instructions Not Included tells the story of a Mexican playboy who is forced to take care of his love child. Co-written, directed by and featuring Eugenio Derbez, the comedy went on earn more than $99 million worldwide and became the highest-grossing Spanish-language film of all time in the United States of America.

The Terror Live (2013) is about an ambitious news anchorman who finds himself strapped to an explosive device while covering a terrorist attack.

Azure and Lionsgate India are in the process of confirming the writers and directors for the two films.

The projects are part of a multi-film deal between the companies to produce cinema tailored to the Indian market. Globalgate is a consortium of 11 companies, including Lionsgate India, which produces local-language entertainment around the world.

Sunir Kheterpal, CEO of Azure Entertainment, said in a press release, “It is a momentous occasion for a young company like ours to collaborate with Lionsgate and Globalgate to jointly develop and produce the local language adaptations of these two globally recognized titles. We are always on the lookout for stories which can travel across cultures and borders and we believe that these films have the underlying DNA to do just that.”
