An Air India air hostess has alleged that her a pilot molested her on a flight from Ahmedabad to Mumbai on April 4. A police official told PTI on Sunday that a scuffle broke out between the complainant and her colleague on Friday. After this, she filed a complaint with the Sahar Police Station in Mumbai, alleging that the pilot molested her on board.
“Based on her complaint, we have registered a case against the pilot under Section 354 [assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty] of the Indian Penal Code,” the unidentified police officer said. The accused, Zoyeb Khan, has been arrested, The Times of India reported.
Air India issued a statement saying it could not comment on the incident since an investigation was underway, ANI reported. “We will extend all cooperation to facilitate the process of investigation,” the airline said.
