Bharatiya Janata Party MLA BN Vijayakumar died in Bengaluru early Friday after a massive heart attack, PTI reported. He was 59.
Vijayakumar was a two-time MLA from Bengaluru’s Jayanagar constituency, and was also his party’s candidate in Assembly elections to be held on May 12.
He was taken to a government hospital on Thursday after he collapsed during an election campaign in his constituency. However, efforts to resuscitate him failed, state BJP spokesperson S Prakash told PTI.
