“Heroes aren’t born, they are made,” says the voiceover as a masked Harshvardhan Kapoor zooms around on his bike in the trailer of Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
The trailer expands from the teaser that was released some days ago. Kapoor’s character and two of his friends form a protest group called Insaaf to raise their voices against Mumbai’s civic problems. When one of the friends is killed by Nishikant Kamat’s corrupt politician, it is time for the battle to be escalated.
According to a press note, “The story revolves around a young man who decides to avenge the death of his closest friend, and discovers that he’s destined for something much bigger.”
Also starring Priyanshu Painyuli, Ashish Verma and Shreiyah Sabharwal, the film has been produced by Phantom Films and Eros International, and will be released on May 25.
