No one would believe this story. GoPro camera falls into molten lava. Said camera is retrieved unharmed. Said camera even has shots to prove it.
A videographer placed his camera virtually in an active volcano in Hawaii in order to capture footage of spewing lava. The video above shows the lava slowly but inexorably approaching the camera and going over the lens, indicating that the camera has fallen into it.
The owner of the camera said the GoPro survived the incident and continued to work, even if not quite as well as earlier. The recorded temperature of the lava at the time was around a thousand degrees Celsius, high enough to melt gold.
