The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the calendar or timetable for Combined Geo-scientist and Geologist Examination 2018. The Commission will conduct the Geo exam from June 29th to July 1st, 2018.

The UPSC has clarified that all candidates must take the June 29th General English paper, which is compulsory. The exams on June 29th & 30th are for candidates applying for the posts of Geologist, Geophysicist or Chemist.
Candidates applying for both the post of Geologist and Jr. Hydrologist will have to take the respective exams on June 29th and 30th, as well as the exam on July 1st. Those who have applied only for the post of Jr. Hydrologist will have to appear for the exams on June 29th, only for the June 30th forenoon exam (9 am to 12 noon), and for the exam on July 1st.
The Commission is conducting this combined examination to fill 47 positions of Geologists, Geophysicists and Chemists in the Ministry of Mines, and 23 posts of Junior Hydrogeologists in the Ministry of Water Resources. The examination will be held in 19 cities across India.
