State Bank of India (SBI), in an advertisement released on Saturday, is seeking application for the post of 2,118 bank probationary officers, which includes 118 vacancies for differently-abled people. The last date to apply for these positions is May 13th, 2018.

SBI PO 2018 exam dates

The SBI PO Prelim exam will commence on July 1st, 2018, while the SBI PO 2018 Main exam will be held on August 4th. The tentative dates for the release of hall ticket or admit cards is June 18th, 2018.

Eligibility for the SBI Bank PO positions

The candidates must be above 21 years of age and below 30 years. They must have a graduate degree from any stream. Candidates with adverse CIBIL score or ‘adverse report regarding character and antecedents, moral turpitude’ are not eligible to apply.

SBI PO Selection rounds

The PO examination will be done in three phases. The Preliminary Exam (Phase 1) consists of an objective-type, 1-hour, 100-mark exam, testing English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning ability.

The Main examination (Phase 2) includes an objective exam of 3 hours and 200 marks, and a 50-mark descriptive exam. The objective exam will test reasoning and computer aptitude, data analysis and interpretation, general economy and banking awareness, and English language. The descriptive exam will consist of two questions to test English language comprehension.

Phase 3 will consist of a Group Discussion session for 20 marks and an Interview for 30 marks. The final selection will be made based on how a candidate performs in Phase 2 and Phase 3.

How to apply for the SBI Bank PO 2018 exam

  1. Log in to official SBI Careers Website (sbi.co.in/careers).
  2. Under ‘Current Openings’, click on the appropriate Online Application Form.
  3. Fill in the required information, upload your scanned signature and photograph, and submit the application.
  4. This will generate a ‘Registration number’ and ‘password’.
  5. Proceed to make the required payment online.
  6. An e-receipt and application form will be generated, which can be printed out for one’s own record.
