Apple’s newest invention is not a new iPhone, though it can certainly help you get rid of your old iPhones. The company has announced the arrival of a recycling robot named Daisy, which can take apart iPhones in order to recover valuable material from it.
According to the video above, the robot can take apart any iPhone, at the fast and furious rate of two hundred per hour. It guarantees that it will recover anything that’s still valuable inside the phone – and do it better than any other recycling process.
Apple’s announcement is a part of the company’s new environment-friendly measures, which also includes the GiveBack programme for customers to return old Apple devices to stores for recycling. No doubt an army of Daisys will be hard at work.
