The American TV series The Office – which began life as a BBC production before being adapted in the US – left a gaping void in the hearts of fans when it came to an end in 2013 after nine seasons.

Not surprisingly, though, the mockumentary-style sitcom has had versions in 10 countries already. And in February 2018, Ricky Gervais, who created the show for BBC, announced the newest incarnation, in India – the first Asian adaptation.

Naturally, in the age of DIY videos, there’s no need to wait for the real thing. So, a parody Indian version (above) of the famous opening sequence (original below) has already been created. The only difference is, the Dunder Mifflin (Wernham Hogg in the UK) Paper Company is now the Indian government, and the characters have been replaced by prominent BJP leaders. Oh, and now it’s called The Sanghi Office.
