Vidharth will play Manav Kaul’s character in the Tamil remake of Suresh Triveni’s hit Vidya Balan comedy Tumhari Sulu (2017), reported The News Minute. Tumhari Sulu traces the journey of a housewife (Vidya Balan) who becomes the host of a late-night radio show, leading to tensions with her husband (Kaul) and extended family. The remake, directed by Radha Mohan (Mozhi, Abhiyum Naanum), will be headlined by Jyotika. Mohan had previously directed Jyotika in Mozhi (2007).
Vidharth’s film credits include the acclaimed Tamil productions Mynaa (2010), Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu (2017) and Kurangu Bommai (2017). The untitled remake is being bankrolled by Dhananjayan Govind’s Bofta Media Works. Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu will reportedly play Neha Dupia’s character, the radio station manager in the original.
