Noted artist Ram Kumar died in Delhi on Saturday. He was 94.
Kumar was a modernist and part of the Progressive Artists’ Group that included icons like MF Husain, FN Souza, HA Gade and SH Raza. His abstract landscapes marked his predominant style.
His final rites will be conducted on Saturday afternoon at Delhi’s Nigambodh Ghat, The Hindu reported.
Kumar was born in Shimla. He was a student at St Stephen’s College before he joined the Sharda Uikeel School of Art, Lokmat reported.
