Dharma Productions’ on Wednesday finally confirmed the main cast for Student of The Year 2. Starring alongside Tiger Shroff are Tara Sutara and Ananya Pandey, actor Chunky Pandey’s daughter. Sutaria has previously worked as a video jockey on Disney channel’s Big Bada Boom (2010) and appeared in a few comedies on the channel. This is Sutara and Pandey’s film debut.
Directed by Punit Malhotra, the film is a sequel to Karan Johar’s Student of the Year (2012), which launched the careers of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. Student of the Year revolved around the adventures of a group who participate in an annual college competition to select the best student. The sequel, produced by Johar’s Dharma Productions, will reportedly be shot in Dehradun, Rishikesh, Mussoorie and Mumbai.
Student of the Year 2 will be released on November 23.
