The trailer of The Meg punctuates the standard animals-versus-humans script with sensational music and dramatic visuals. When a submarine is attacked and disabled by a 75-foot prehistoric megalodon shark, rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) must confront his own fears to rescue the crew of the ship lying in a deep oceanic trench.

Adapted from Steve Alten’s 1997 science fiction book Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror, the film has been directed by Jon Turteltaub and written by Dean Georgaris. The movie will be released on August 10.
