Government in Lok Sabha on Wednesday said that there are no plans for re-examination of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2017 Tier II examination. Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh reiterated his previous stance that there was no paper leak. He said, “There was no leakage of question papers in the CGL examination, 2017.”
Keeping in mind few incidents of cheating that had surfaced, the Minister stated that the CBI inquiry was recommended in order to restore the faith in the process in which the Commission conducts the examination.
CGL aspirants have been protesting outside SSC New Delhi office since February 27th alleging that some papers were leaked in social media. Initially, the Commission dismissed the allegations, but later, under pressure from various political quarters, it relented and recommended a CBI inquiry.
CBI had registered a case and started a preliminary enquiry over the allegations of paper leak.
