Telangana Police on Wednesday registered a case against Bharatiya Janata Party’s Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh Lodh for making alleged provocative statements on the eve of Ram Navami, PTI reported. Police said the case was registered based on two complaints filed against Lodh accusing him of hurting religious sentiments and disturbing communal harmony with his comments on March 24.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Mirchowk Division) B Anand said a case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code Section 295A which addresses deliberate and malicious acts with an intent to outrage religious feelings and other sections.
