Sacred Games will be premiered on Netflix on July 6, according to an announcement by the streaming platform on Monday.
Based on Vikram Chandra’s novel of the same name, the series stars Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh, a police officer who investigates the mysterious circumstances leading to the death of gangster Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap, the series reportedly comprises eight hour-long episodes. Radhika Apte plays a government intelligence officer.
There are no details on who else is in the cast and who has written the series. The novel has at least a dozen major characters.
