An eight-year-old girl was found dead in her home in Hyderabad’s Rajendranagar on Sunday, The New Indian Express reported. Neighbours found the front door ajar and her body with injury marks inside the house.
The Class 3 student is believed to have have returned home from school at 2 pm while her daily wage labourer parents were still at work.
“An investigation is being conducted to ascertain whether anyone intruded and harmed the victim knowing that she was alone at home,’’ Rajendranagar Sub-Inspector K Narayana Reddy told The Times of India.
The police are awaiting a forensic report.
