Homi Bhabha, the acclaimed nuclear physicist who not only founded the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and the Atomic Energy Establishment in Trombay (AEET) – now named the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre – but also pioneered the use of nuclear energy in India, died when an Air India flight crashed near Mont Blanc on 24 January 1966. Bhabha was 56.
Conspiracy theories of a possible assassination to thwart India’s nuclear programme have swirled around from time to time, with the proverbial “foreign hand” being suspected. French graphic novelist Nicolas Wild’s work picks up on this possibility – with an unexpected, wildly imaginative twist. An exclusive preview of Wild’s graphic novel.

Translated from the French by Antoine Heudre. Published in collaboration with Lyon Capitale magazine.
Nicolas Wild is a graphic novelist. He is the author of Kabul Disco 1, Kabul Disco 2, and Silent Was Zarathustra.
