Anurag Kashyap’s new movie Manmarziyaan will be released on September 7, according to a press release. Set in Amritsar, the movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal and has been written by Kanika Dhillon.
“In true Kashyap style, Manmarziyaan promises to blur the quintessential love genre showcasing a love story with complex emotions,” the press release stated. The movie is being presented by Eros International and Aanand L Rai and has been produced by Rai’s company, Colour Yellow, in association with Phantom Films. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari was previously attached to the film as director.
Manmarziyaan marks Rai’s second collaboration with Kashyap after Mukkabaaz (2018). The film also marks Bachchan’s return to the screen after two years. His last outing was the Sajid-Farhad’s comedy Housefull 3 (2016).
