NASA’s Juno Mission, which had sent a spacecraft to orbit around Jupiter, flew over the planet’s famous Red Spot recently. The Red Spot is said to be a giant storm that’s been raging for hundreds of years, as described in the video below. NASA used the data collected from the Juno mission to create a visual simulation of its journey.
This video above takes you on a simulated flight into, and then out of, Jupiter’s atmosphere at the location of the Red Spot. NASA used the images taken from the Juno Mission and combined it with computer generated animation.
What a pity we will not be able to go on this journey for real in our lifetimes.
