As reported by NDTV, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has postponed the dates of Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2017 Tier III examination to May 2018. The exact date will be announced at a later time. The exam was initially scheduled for March 31st. The Commission might also delay the notification for CGL 2018.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court has asked the Centre to respond to a plea to probe the CGL 2017 Tier II exam and has scheduled the hearing for today.
Earlier the Commission conducted Tier II re-examination due to technical glitches and allegation of paper leak. CGL 2017 Tier II exam was scheduled for February 17th and 21st but on February 21st the candidates alleged that the papers were leaked and circulated on social media. Candidates have been protesting outside the SSC office in New Delhi since February 27th demanding a Supreme Court-monitored CBI inquiry. The Commission has agreed and recommended a CBI inquiry which the Centre later agreed upon. On its part, CBI has started a preliminary enquiry on the case.
