Actor Suniel Shetty will don the role of a school principal in Aurous Avatar Entertainment’s Nanhe Einsteins, the makers announced on Monday. The film has been written by Saiwyn Quadras, whose screenwriting credits include Mary Kom (2014) and Neerja (2016).
The makers said the film would take a critical look at the country’s education system and its over-emphasis on grades to measure success.
Suniel Shetty, who was last seen in Raj & DK’s A Gentleman (2017), plays an orphan who goes on to become the principal of an elite school. “The movie basically says that if given an opportunity, everyone can make it,” the actor said. “The education system is only about ‘X’ grades and the kind of students in school, but where do the rest go? But again, it’s not a preachy film. It talks about education, class differences, but in a very fun manner.”
Rohit K Shetty, the director of Aurous Avatar Entertainment, said in a press release,“Since the conception of the story, we had only Suniel Shetty in mind to play the role of Principal Anthony.”
This is Aurous Avatar Entertainment’s first production in Hindi. The production house, founded in 2014 by Rohit K Shetty and Priiya Nair, has made a few Gujarati and Marathi films and will venture into Telugu cinema as well this year.
