Swaraj India President Yogendra Yadav demanded that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) should suspend all examinations under process till the CBI probe on the alleged paper leak of Combined Graduate Level (CGL ) 2017 exam is completed.
In a press conference convened by the party, the party president said that Commission has lost all credibility. He also added that the Commission has been intimidating candidates who have been protesting outside the SSC office in New Delhi.
He alleged that for the Multi-Task Exam (MTS) the process of document verification had been initiated even before the exam results were declared and that the entire process was riddled with anomalies. He further added that 700 admit cards were issued to one person for the same centre under different addresses for Combined Higher Secondary Level exam.
Candidates have been protesting outside the SSC office at the CGO Complex in New Delhi since February 27th, alleging that the CGL 2017 papers have been leaked on social media.
The Commission, which previously had dismissed the protests as being ‘instigated by coaching institutes’, relented to the demand for a CBI inquiry on March 5th, 2018. Taking a note of the recommendation, the Centre ordered a CBI probe on the very same day.
