Former Maharashtra Forest Minister Patangrao Kadam died at a Mumbai hospital on Friday, ANI reported. The Congress leader had been admitted to Lilavati Hospital on March 2 after his health deteriorated.
Kadam, 73, died at the hospital around 10 pm, Marathi daily Loksatta reported. The former minister had been suffering from renal dysfunction.
Congress leader Sonia Gandhi had visited him in hospital on Friday.
Kadam been unwell for the last two to three months. After being admitted to Lilavati Hospital, he was moved to the hospital’s intensive care unit on March 5 and put on ventilator support.
