The election war in Karnataka is escalating. And, perhaps unwittingly, BJP president Amit Shah has acknowledged the growing influence of Congress president Rahul Gandhi by mimicking him at a rally in Karnataka.
“Modi ji, bataao! Aapne chaar saal mein kya kiya? (Modi ji, tell us. What have you done in four years?)” shouted Shah in Gandhi’s style before delivering a counter-punch.
Shah’s act was met with howls of laughter from the audience as he addressed the Navashakthi Samavesha in Bidar. Karnataka, the only large state besides Punjab where the Congress is currently in power, will elect a new government in a few months.
