When he isn’t running Maharashtra from his office, state chief minister Devendra Fadnavis can still find innovative ways to get his job done. This time, he – along with his wife Amruta Fadnavis – have featured in a music video as a show of support for rivers.
In this video (above) titled “Mumbai River Anthem”, the Fadnavises can be seen dancing to a song that calls for support to save Mumbai’s rivers. To be more accurate, Amruta Fadnavis is seen dancing. Devendra Fadnavis is rooted to a spot, letting his arms and his expressions do all the emoting.
The song is sung by Amruta Fadnavis and playback singer Sonu Nigam, with the male characters, mainly the chief minister, lip-syncing to the latter. The video is set in a number of locations around Mumbai, and also features cameos by state finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, Mumbai civic commissioner Ajoy Mehta and Mumbai police commissioner Datta Padsalgikar.
