Following the military crackdown against the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, millions of people fled to take refuge in Bangladesh. This is a video of one such refugee camp in Balukhali, Bangladesh.
According to this video, posted by Shafiur Rahman on YouTube, the camp has been termed “the largest refugee camp in the world”. The video was taken from inside a car while driving from Kutupalong to Balukhali on a newly constructed road.
This video shows tins huts, poorly constructed shelters and kilometres of settlements on dusty, barren land. It states that from August 2017 to February 2018, 688,000 Rohingyas entered Bangladesh from Myanmar.
As the car drives along the road, this six-minute long video shows the reality of the living conditions that millions of Rohingya Muslims have been subjected to.
