The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested four students from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Amity University and Delhi University’s Hindu College, the agency said on Saturday. The Narcotics Control Bureau’s Delhi Zonal Unit had received information about suspected drug peddling and drug abuse near the educational institutes.
Narcotics Control Bureau personnel intercepted a courier which was being dispatched to Jaipur and confiscated 1.140 kilos of charas and three LSD blot papers. The accused have been identified as Gaurav Kumar, Sam Mallick, Aniruddh Mathur and Tenzin Phunchog.
Kumar was peddling banned substances in Delhi University’s North Campus area along with the three other accused, the statement said. Officials are now searching for Neelchand, who has been identified as the kingpin in the racket which operates out of Himachal Pradesh.
