A gunman opened fire inside an office building in Southern California’s Long Beach city on Friday afternoon, killing one person and injuring another. The mayor, Robert Garcia, said the gunman has been killed.
The Long Beach police and the mayor called it a “workplace homicide”. The police confirmed on Twitter that the shooter is not active. They said the case will be investigated as a homicide.
The shooter attacked an office in a two-storey building, which houses several law firms, AP reported. The shooter is believed to be a former employee at one of the firms. Long Beach City Councilman Al Austin said the shooter killed one person and then shot himself, the Los Angeles Times reported.
