Bills on protecting stray cows and establishing two time zones in the country were among the 98 private members’ bills introduced in Lok Sabha on Friday, PTI reported.

Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel, who represents the Hamirpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh, introduced the Stray Cows (Protection and Control Board) Bill, 2017. He introduced another bill urging the House to adopt a law to create a Bundelkhand Regiment in the Indian Army.

Gaurav Gogoi, the Congress MP from Kaliabor in Assam, introduced the Reorganisation of Time Zones Bill, 2017, which proposes establishing two time zones in India to help make administration more systematic, inclusive and progressive. Advocates of this theory say it will increase daylight savings and efficiency.
