Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy lost their men’s doubles quarter-final to Chinese Taipei’s Chia Hung Lu and Chia Pin Lu at the United States International Challenge on Thursday.
Attri and Reddy squandered early leads in both games to lose the match 12-21, 15-21.
The second seeded pair got a first-round bye and defeated Sattawat Pongnairat and Ferdinand Sinarta Surbakti in straight games in the second round.
The duo, earlier this month, had reached the semi-finals at the Tata Open India International Challenge.
The Chinese Taipei pair will take on USA’s Mark Shelley Alcala and Phillips Jap in the semi-finals.
In the women’s singles, sixth seed Anura Prabhudesai, 19, lost to Indonesia’s Rizma Anestasy Violeta in the second round on Wednesday.
