Bollywood dances keep conquering the world, one country at a time. The latest to fall prey to the charms of its beats and thumkas is Finland. Not excluding Prime Minister Juha Sipilä.
Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group, posted a video on Twitter (above) on December 20, which showed a troupe of Finnish women, who go by the name “Bollybeats”, dancing to the song Nachde Ne Saare from the film Baar Baar Dekho. Dressed in lehengas, the women got the moves just right and, according to Mahindra, even impressed the Finnish PM.
Another Finnish woman took a different route to Indian dance, choosing Kathak instead, (video below). The performances were part of the pre-dinner entertainment at Mahindra’s 2017 M101 Conference, an annual gathering of the group’s 101 top leaders in Helsinki, Finland.
