Looks like it’s biopic season not just for Indian sports. Malaysian legend Lee Chong Wei, one of the greatest badminton players of all time, will have his story told on the silver screen in a movie directed by Teng Bee.
The trailer shows the journey of a young Chong Wei, yearning to play badminton, despite his father not being too keen. But he goes on to find success as a youngster, at one point stating he wants to be world No 1 one day (a position he would hold for nearly 200 consecutive weeks). The movie depicts how the Malaysian had to overcome his lack of stamina in a bid to become a great player.
