Christmas is as Indian as it is Western. And here’s a version of Jingle Bells to prove as much.

It’s in Bhojpuri. Perhaps not an obvious choice for the song, but as the Minions prove in the video above, entirely delightful. Who can resist a song that starts “Jingle Bell-wa Jingle Bell-wa, Jingle Bell-wa baajela...”

The video is, of course, a redubbed version of the Christmas special originally released by the makers of The Minions, in which the figures carolled a gibberish – and utterly delightful – version.
