Tisca Chopra, the queen of the sly and dangerous smile who would fit right into Roald Dahl’s universe, headlines the short film Chhuri. She plays a housewife who shows her philandering husband (Anurag Kashyap) and his lover (Surveen Chawla) that she is not to be trifled with.
The short film, directed by Mansi Jain and produced by Large Short Films, isn’t quite as sharp as Chutney, which was co-written by Chopra, but it delivers a satisfying kick in the teeth. You can see it coming, but Chopra lands her blows with elegance.
