In the trailer for Venu Sreeram’s MCA (Middle Class Abbayi), Nani (played by the Telugu star of the same name) reluctantly moves to Warangal on his older brother’s orders when his sister-in-law (Bhumika Chawla) gets transferred there. Forced to help out with household chores, Nani spends his day cutting vegetables, drying clothes, and doing odd jobs around the house, but cannot find the voice to register his protest.
Even when a beautiful woman (Sai Pallavi) he sees on a busy road proposes to him on the spot and then follows up on the marriage date, he seems speechless.
However, none of this means that a middle-class man cannot pack a hefty punch when necessary, the trailer informs us. Just threaten his family and see.
Directed by Venu Sreeram, MCA has been bankrolled by Dil Raju, under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations. Set to hit theatres on December 21, the film is likely to clash with Akhil Akkineni’s Hello.
