The Bharatiya Janata Party has ruled over Gujarat for the past 22 years, and it’s leaving no stone unturned to ensure that it stays on power. Facing fierce competition from the Congress in an election that started on Friday, the BJP threw everything at the election campaign – including a high-tech laser light show at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad on December 6.
The show used a technique called projection mapping to create a gigantic image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a map of Gujarat next to him, as Modi’s clothes and the visuals inside the map kept changing.
According to BJP leader Anil Jain, the images offered a glimpse of the development that has taken place in Gujarat, and served as a reminder of Modi’s achievements.
Many people were impressed. But others wanted to know where the funding for this impressive show had come from.
