Aamir Khan has exited debutant filmmaker Mahesh Mathai’s upcoming biopic on Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian astronaut to travel to space, the DNA newspaper reported.
Reportedly titled Salute, the film is a Siddharth Roy Kapur production. According to the newspaper, the Dangal actor chose to opt out of the film due to creative differences. “There were some points of disagreement between him [Aamir Khan] and the creative team,” an insider told the newspaper.
According to a few other reports, Khan was not convinced with the script. “They were developing the script but Aamir did not like the way it finally shaped up,” an industry insider told Pinkvilla, an entertainment portal. “Everybody knows that his script sense is brilliant so in that form, if he does not like a script there has to be something wrong with it.”
