As English band Ten Years After’s I’d Love To Change The World plays out in the background, Rosamund Pike and Daniel Bruhl whip out their guns and hijack a crowded plane in the trailer of 7 Days in Entebbe.
Directed by José Padilha (Narcos, Elite Squad), the British crime drama is based on the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight en route from Tel Aviv to Paris and traces the subsequent hostage rescue mission, codenamed Operation Entebbe, by the Israeli government. Pike and Bruhl play members of a radical organisation.
There have already been several previous films about the mission, including Victory at Entebbe (1976) and Raid on Entebbe (1977), and Israeli production Operation Thunderbolt (1977).
7 Days in Entebbe, which also stars Vincent Cassel, Eddie Marsan and Ben Schnetzer, is scheduled to be released on March 16, 2018.
