Shankar’s 2.0, the highly awaited sequel to Enthiran (2010), will be released in April, according to a press release by the movie’s producer. In a statement released on Saturday, Lyca Productions said that the “magnum opus SciFi action thriller” will be released in April 2018. Lyca Productions did not pick a date in April, but trade analysts have speculated that the movie will be released on April 13, which will coincide with the Tamil New Year.
2.0 is being made in Tamil and will also be released in Hindi and Telugu. The movie will have a 3D version. Starring Rajinikanth as the humanoid robot Chitti, Akshay Kumar as the antagonist, and Amy Jackson, the big-budget movie has been scored by AR Rahman. The original release date was January 25, 2018.
