In another relentless effort to poke fun at a public figure, Twitterati had a field day with a video (above) of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. She had a momentary lapse at a rally when she mistook a torch for a microphone.

It happened when she approached one of her adjutants, presumably, to procure a microphone so that she could proceed to deliver her address. She grabbed the torch from his hand and held it up as she would a microphone, only to find it shining a beam on her face. Banerjee was immediately handed a microphone.

Soon, the amused reactions began to flow.
