A hapless judge, a traumatised murder accused and two angry but determined lawyers: the trailer for Kuldip Patwal: I Didn’t Do It incorporates all the elements of a courtroom drama. The film will be out on December 15.
Directed and produced by Remy Kohli, the film is about a shopkeeper (Deepak Dobriyal) who is accused of killing chief minister Varun Chaddha (Parvin Dabbas) in front of several eyewitnesses. Kudlip Patwal (Dobriyal) claims he didn’t do it, but the state wants him hanged.
The director said the film is a fictionalised account of the real-life assassination of a political leader.
Apart from Dobriyal, Kuldip Patwal: I Didn’t Do It features Gulshan Deviah as Patwal’s lawyer, while Raima Sen plays prosecution lawyer Simrat. The film has been written by Rahul Ramchandani and Remy Kohli.
