Malayalam actress Thodupuzha Vasanthi passed away on November 28 after battling cancer. She was 65 years old. In a career spanning over four decades, Vasanthi acted in more than 450 films. She has acted in 16 television serials and around 100 plays.
Vasanthi made her film debut in a dance sequence in the 1975 film Dharmakshetra Kurkushetra. She is best known for her performances in films such as KG George’s Yavanika (1982), Mohan’s Alolam (1982), Joshiy’s Nirakkoottu (1985) and Siddique’s Godfather (1991). She was last seen in the 2016 release Ithu Thaanda Police.
Vasanthi’s funeral will take place at Thodupuzha, near her hometown Idukki, on the evening of November 28.
