Apple’s advertisements are often less about the product and more about fantasy delivered with cinematic visualisation. And the new one (above), timed for Christmas sales (a new iPhone X, anyone?) is all about how elegantly your life can flow (and even fly).
Set to English singer-songwriter Sam Smith’s melodious Palace, the advertisement features dancers Lauren Yalango-Grant and Christopher Grant, and an enigmatic tagline: “Move someone to action.”
The dreamy sequence shows a young woman walking down a regular snowy pavement before being transported to a beautiful winter wonderland when she plugs in her wireless AirPods. And when she bumps into a man, they’re both transported to the magical world with beautiful choreography reminiscent of Mia and Sebastian’s dream sequence in La La Land (below).
