Two people died after an old building collapsed in Southeast Delhi’s Taimur Nagar locality on Friday morning. The owner of the house, a retired government employee, was one of those killed.
The building collapsed at 9.45 am, after which three fire tenders were sent to the spot, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Romil Baniya told ANI.
The building is said to be over five decades old and was undergoing renovation. One labourer died, while another escaped in time, the Hindustan Times reported.
A case has been registered against the owner of the building, ANI reported late on Friday.
